Has anyone let a kid tag along in a tube? What kind of tube did he use? I have a bass boat but love tubing for crappie and want to get my 8yr old son into it. Any ideas, opinions, or recommendations welcome.

I'd get a White River tube from BassPro. I'm talking about the full donut tube. Practically impossible to flip it or otherwise get hurt in it, unlike a u-tube that he may slide out of. With their no questions asked return policy if the cover fails (which is known to happen from time to time) you just take it back and swap it for another one.

Dang that's a nice tube, I guess I haven't kept up through the years. I still use an old fishmaster.

That's the cheapest one they sell these days. Or at least the cheapest I'm aware of. laugh It was $49 just a couple of years back.

As long as he can see out of and cast from a tube he should be fine. I drug my now 21 yo around in a tube when he was 6 until he could kick one on his own. I would put an extra life vest in the seat for him to sit on and of course he was wearing one as well.

O.K. Sitting on an extra life vest just made realize that the tube K.D. recommended will work. Thanks a bunch!
