Went out this past monday 3/1/10, windy as heck so we fished the devils river warmest water I found was 55-56 way past rough canyon.. All fish where caught a 3/8oz jig on windy points or cuts leading into a feeder creek... By the time u guys get down there the water should be alot warmer and the bigger fish should be staging along with some already spawning...

You can throw a jerk bait and catch u a limit of smaller fish with an ocassional 4-5 pounder over tree top and grass in some of the coves/pockets.. I would probably fish some ditches and channels leading in spawing pockets then go sight fishing if the sun is shinning and no wind!
