brother and I want to try falcon this week but need help with
best lodging & guide . maybe current fishing areas, depths etc. May be a tounr. going on. seems booked up. all help appreciated. Never been before

I would reach out to jim edwards he has been fishing that lake for 35 years and he has always put me on fish no matter what the conditions were.

dynatrakben, call Charlie Haralson at 956-744-6235. He'll be booked but works with several of the other top guides down there and may be able to help you with that. If not call James or Tom at Falcon Lake Tackle www.falconlaketackle.com

They're awesome folks and will give you the shirt off their backs. They also have the largest assortment of tackle on the lake.

Watering holes are limited, but the best was the little place xcross from Robert's Fishing Tackle. The name escapes me but they had a band, a LOT of local flavor and a pretty darned good ribeye steak. New pool tables, too.

thanks fouzman.I'll give them a call. Thanks again for everyone's help. I hope I don't end up throughing snowballs at the fish...this weather sucks. just finished cutting up a tree that fell on the house from the last snow storm.

Try Dan Schonveld www.falconlakeguideservice.com we use him last year and had a great trip!

Evan did you do any good down there?
