Is there any place one can safely park on the beach, pier, jetty, etc to fish saltwater between Sabine Pass and Galveston? Is the last week of March a good or not a good time to fish the Gulph? I have been told the weather is not conducive to having a pleasant time while there at that time of year. Just looking for comments or opinions.

That time of year you are better off fishing the flats in the bay. We (my dad and stepmom) make a trip there almost every year at this time
Take everything I say with a grain of salt

I'm looking for a place I can park close t or on the beach and put some dead squid or finger mullet, or shrimp on a hook and cast it as far as I am able then sit in my chair and wait for bite.

g-pa, if u go down to Galveston there are many beach access areas that u can just pull your car into, open lawn chair, cast out and wait. im not sure but the whiting still might be on the beachfront and the black drum should be lingering around as well.

if you go to the seawall in galveston you will see little jetties from it. the city have been paving concretes on there to make it easier to walk on. try there, theres always something there.
