Are there any significant differences? I change the hooks on both, but as far as action or whatever?

They look like very similar baits.

You know, They are so similar, I cant tell the diff most of the time. I havent really "compared" the two, side by side, but I doubt there is any big diff. I have been using alot of H2O (Academy), Bass Pro, and some $1.99 specials from Bass Pro. I caught both of those fish the same morning on the bottom on two different $1.99 specials. I like to throw what the fish might not see alot of. There are TONS of fisherman who wont get caught dead with a $1.99 crankbait. They just have to have the high end ones. The bass dont know the price. Just throw several, and see what works best for you. With Lipless cranks, I dont like to go overboard $$ wise, because they are so easy to lose. The H2O's from Academy seem to be harder to hang up because of the angle they come through the water. And all H2O lures are less than $4.00. each. They look GREAT too!!

I like the Cordell better than the Ratltrap.

One thing you will notice though is if you try to burn the Cordell it will start to roll on its side more often than the Ratltrap.

I'll take the Cordell Super Spot over a Bill Lewis Rattle Trap any day of the week.

To me they have completly different sounds. i think the Cordell is a louder and deeper sound. I think because the cordell is wider than a Trap.

I like the sound, color selection and availability of the Rat-l-trap over the Super Spot.

but that's just me.

Super spot has a wider profile and wider wobble to it as well as a different sound. I like a super spot better than a trap most of the time. Also if I'm fishing really shallow a spot seems to stay up better.

I switch between both when bites get slow just to change it up. I think both are good and would also recommend having both in the boat and tied on in the spring.
