 Rod & Reel combo for Shakey Head

I've never tried fishing with Shakey head but would like to. Any suggestions on best Rod & reel combination for effective Shakey head fishing?

loomis shakey head rod, revo or curado. spinning reels are for girls.

I'll probably get bashed for this but oh well...i use a carrot stick 7'2 and an h2o mettle for my shakey head with 10lb fluoro....very sensitive...and nope..still the same carrot stick ive had...never had any problems.
