I just purchased a 88 Evinrude XP 150 HP, that came without a prop. I am installing this on a 90 model 18 FT Bass Boat and was wondering what size/pitch prop would be good to start with?

What brand and model boat? Does it have a jackplate on it?

It is a Tracker Tournament 1800 FS and it does not have a jackplate.

See what the oem spec is for the correct prop size. That would be a starting point.

That hull is a nightmare to setup correctly, a little off and you'll have the worst porpoising bucking bronco you seen...

Get hold of Steve at fork and schedule time with him to set this thing up right the first time. It will be time and money well spent. Don't listen to me, and spend the next six months buying props that won't work.

I don't mean to hi-jack your post. I was also needing to get a hold of Steve. I got a prop off of a 70hp Evinrude, I think my prop might be slipping, and wanted to see what you would charge to get me fixed up. Thanks
