Ernest,

I've seen many posts concerning the 9.5 inch crappie caught at Ray Roberts. I've experienced the same - many 9.5's and few larger fish. Some speculate the lack of a spawn in year 2000. I have to ask if the harvest is causing the shortage of larger fish. Years ago I had the pleasure of living close to Table Rock lake in Missouri. Every year we caught good numbers of 14.5 inch bass speculating that the next year would produce great numbers of 15 inch plus fish. It never happened. I suspect that fish were kept as soon as they reached the legel lenght limit. Is this the case at Raybob?

Good question...I fish lake Belton a lot and see the same thing with bass..Year after year lots of 13.75 inch fish. I have caught as many as 50 in the spring with no keepers..I am just getting back into crappie fishing and have to relearn everything I have forgotten... Should post this in open water forum..Would like to know what others think
