 help!!i need a lake

i was planning on going to fairfield in the morning, but it is closed due to hunting.i was going there because it is a hot water lake.i live on lake whitney, is monticello the closest to me? it's 200 miles.or is there something that you might suggest.help a guy out.....i will drive to monticello if it;s my best bet....rick

Their web site says it opens back up at 1pm this friday.

Alerts and Important Information
HUNT DATES 2009-2010: Nov. 30- Dec.2, Dec 2-4 The entire park will be closed from 5pm the night before the 1st day of the hunt & will reopen at 1pm on the last day of the hunt(Dec.4)
Funny thing is, you have to go the reservation site which is external, the state park site doesnt have it in the calender. dont want to go down if there is a chance it is closed. And if i wait ti call, I wont get down till 10 ;30
