Saturday: Hit the water mid-morning after trying without much success to catch a few crappie at my spot in Greenville. Checked Holiday first--nothing so headed to the dam. Marked fish and bait but no takers for 30 minutes or so...and then it was like you turned on a light switch. We caught fish constantly for the next couple of hours. It wasn't every cast but it was good action. I even called a buddy of mine and they came over and got in on it. Ended up with what I figured was between 35-40. Lots of under-sized stripers and hybrids mixed in with sandies. Kept @ 20 for the freezer. All were caught on a variety of slabs in 14-28 foot. Water temp was 60. Thanks to good buddy and fellow TFF member for the help catching--we'll do it again soon brother.

Sunday: Decided to go last minute Sunday evening after watching a lackluster effort by the Cowboys. It could have been worse--they could have lost! Hit the water at 4:15 and headed straight to the same area from the previous day. Caught one on the first cast and didn't stop till I left the spot at 5:20. Caught and released 28--even mix of small stripers and decent sized sandies with the occasional yellow bass mixed in. I think the evening bite is a little better than the morning. All were caught on TNT 180s in 10-15' Great weekend to be out on the water--light wind and mild temps. Hope it continues for a little while longer...

nice report bal4joey

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
