Are you using an ethernet cable to link the 2 together?
Yellow connector to yellow connector with a cable?
I have an LMS-520C and an LCX-112 networked together using the SonarNet cables.
You can't share maps between units ,but you can waypoints.
I would research this for you but it seems the lowrance website is down.

If I set a waypoint on the front unit (LMS-520C) that waypoint shows up on the console unit also and works the other way around.

Yeah i couldnt get the the nmea to work, i have it hooked up like the pictures show. The yellow wire works just fine
