Cedar Creek Crappie with BigCrappie.com Cedar Creek is about 6-8 inches low and the water temp is 74 degrees. The crappie are biting excellent. Boat docks are holding some fish. Jigs over the top of brush will catch fish no problem. The pattern is simple, deeper docks on the main lake are holding fish, shallow docks in the back of creek arms are holding some fish, & any brush in 10ft of water or more is holding fish. Its that simple! Here are some pictures from this week Thursday am trip 24lb cat off the dock while I cleaned fish. We released him healthy after the picture. Friday am trip Friday pm trip Good fish Friday evening Saturday morning, fellow TFFer enjoying the moment. Happy birthday! Watch out guys this one will be a great crappie fisherman, hes pretty darn good right now! 9-28-09 am trip about 15 crappie and 30 something sandies plus a big hybrid. Nice 24inch hybrid striper Mmm good Check out the web site and call and book your trip today. Our schedule is getting very full for October. We look forward to hearing from you. See ya on the lake!

Nice report, sounds and looks like they are biting good. I plan on getting out there one day at least this week inbetween the wind and storms hopefully. Those Crappie really like posing for those pics Chuck. And those big cats off your dock are great. Shows they really love all those Crappie remains that you have from cleaning them at your place.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Yea, he picked up walking the jig back over brush. We would cast out about 30 feet and let the jig fall to the bottom then slowly lift it and let it fall repeatedly until we either caught a crappie or got it back to the boat. This technique is definatly an advanced technique. He did good though and I have no doubt he will get better.
