 Surf fishing Port Aransas Oct / Nov ??

I'll be on Port Aransas Oct 15 - Nov 15 to have a shot at surf fishing. I've picked up a lot of pointers from the other surf fishermen on this site -- and appreciate the info!
What are the main species Oct/Nov on the beach? I'll be fishing mostly artificials, I imagine. Any suggestions on baits, locations, techniques, or anything else would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

From what I've read....you will have everything in the surf during that time frame. Perfect water temps. The reds will be running for sure. Mullet will be thick in the surf, which means lots of predators.

Just got back. Trout on topwaters and Gulp. Caught reds on Gulp, gold spoons and Redfish Magic spinner baits with gold spoons.
The mullet are schooling up but the run hasn't begun yet. Use live mullet in the 3rd gut too.
