Good morning all, me and the family are headed to lake cooper the end of june. We'll be on the South Sulpher side. Any ideas to where to fish for crappie, color, tips? I hope today is the day I get out and check out the new fishfinder on Ray Hubbard. Going to try the 66 bridge. Any other suggestions for Hubbard? It's hard to miss them in the spring, but this time of the year is new to me. Is that why they call me a greenhorn? Have a great day and keep a tight line.

JW, As you are moving around RH watch for brush piles. Either GPS or trianglate them and right them down for future ref. I had some luck Mon in 18'-20' water with salt and pepper bass assins ( fat belly) and chart. nibbles. lol

John about that time of the year is when the crappie gather out in the timber. Concentrate on the Cedars and Bois D Arc trees in 12 to 20 foot of water. Mostly at the end of Lane one and north about 200 yards. Also try the south end of Lane 2. Lot's of Bois D Arc trees. You have to bounce from tree to tree because you generally want pull more than 4 or 5 crappie off one tree. Good Luck.
