Fishing w/ my son 3rd time on the lake, didn't get there until 7:15 (darn clock) . Caught 30+ Sandies slabbing with a fly on top including 4 doubles, 6 were @ or over 16". Kept 20 for the freezer. Didn't see too much surface action but had a great time, expecially whem my son hook a 4" channal cat on a slab.

Thanks Bass&More, there was a guy zig-zagging (trolling) in and out and around 6 or 7 boats catching quite a few and my son ask why don't we try that and I explained that I didn't want us to get hit by a piece of flying lead.. lol. He got the point.

I wasn't paying that much attention, tried to stay away from the cluster of boats. He was in a fish-n-ski with a couple others.

Nice job finding slabbing action. I have not found a slab bite in awhile. Bonus catching fish with the son with you. I am 50/50 when I have my daughter with me. The good thing is at 5 she understands that some days you catch and some you don't

Karl has a fish and ski and plays loud music and likes to troll so it may have been him he is pretty disruptive. Johnny

Hey now, I didn't say he was disrupting me...lol. I was staying a couple hundred yards away from the boat show. We did have a good time and will make another trip out soon. I haven't done too much scouting so I will probably take a weekday and see where they might be hiding besides the S. end of the island.
