has anyone done any crappie fishing under the 1097 bridge at conroe ? wondering how the bite was.

Try 18-21 feet down in 25-30 feet of water and move from piling to piling starting on the west side.

The bite will be quick if you find a piling with a fish. There won't be many pilings with more than one or two on it and you might hit 10-20 pilings to find one. Then fish 10-20 more to catch another one. So, the overall bite is slow and you would probably have to hit every piling to get a limit. I don't have that much patience or time.

yeah last time we went it was about the same way ! probably wont waste my time on crappie this weekend. the bite on cats are to good !
