Went out mon. morn early and fished until about noon, caught a ton of small crappie on deep brush(22'-28')also caught two keepers with the largest being 16"and about 2 1/4 pounds, used orange and chartruse roadrunners, with and without minnows, also had a lot of fish on the upper jig which was a hot pink and white tube jig, both big fish were caught before 7:30 and did not get another keeper (except sandbass) the rest of the day,it rained off and on all morning and was pretty windy to the point of having to lay back off the brush and cast over it to prevent bowslap from spooking the fish,I think the larger fish are still spawning and have not moved to the deeper cover yet,the one big fish I caught was bloody from nose to tail and still had a lot of eggs in her,I look foward to a little warmer weather and less wind.

Got your email. I left you my cell phone number so you can call me. That was definitely a large crappie you had a picture of. Kinda dwarfed the other one.
