I have been fishing from a boat on a bayou that is pretty narrow. There are lots of places to fish from the bank. I set out 6 juglines for catfish and then fly fish for bream while waiting on the catfish to bite.
I passed up a group of locals fishing from the bank and went to a place I knew held fish.
Set out the jugs and t hen started the fly fishing. The group, 6 or 7 of them, moved down the bank and started fishing the same area. The dropped their bobbers right next to my jugs.
In the past I would have gotten royally P O'd, and would have said and done some things in anger.
I just proceeded to catch a bunch of bream just to show them what they were missing. When I had about 15 on a stringer I asked them who had the bucket. Then I moved my boat right up to the bank where they were fishing and gave them the fish. Then I picked up my jugs and moved to another spot.

I think you handled it very well!

People have no respect for other people's space.

I bank fish, and recently had a guy move from 100yds away
to right beside me when he saw me catch a catfish.

I just packed up and moved to another spot.

Youre not supposed to give your fish away.

man that was the nicest I have ever seen anyone in a boat act towards a bank fisherman although I would of never tried to get in your spot unless you left or I had been sittin there for two hours with nothin and you come along and start catchin left and right then I would asked if it was okay if I moved in...the problem I allways have is people crossing my line...isnt that against the law? if a jet skier does it I fire a bb from my wrist rocket...biiiiing right off the tank!
