BOUGHT A NEW REEL YESTERDAY WAS WANTING TO KNOW IS THE ABU GARCIA 6500C3 REEL ANY GOOD ALSO GOT A 7 FT UGLY STICK POLE IS THE RIGHT COMBO ANY ADVICE WOULD CERTAINLY HELP THANKS

that is a very good reel. lots of line capacity and bait clicker makes it a great catfish reel.

going to try it out friday night down at lake somerville also got a shimano sedona 4000f had that one for a while hope to catch something last time caught one channel about 2lbs

How bout a Shimano Torium with a 3/4 ton Team Catfish rod. Thing is sick  Also Close to $300 setup too though.

I don't need anything better than ambassador, for $300.00 That is 3 6500's and maybe even a Tournement Choice rod to go with them!!!

Yeah you can't convince me that that 300 dollar setup will outfish a 6500c3 on an ugly stick. Made in Sweden 6500C3 $78 at academy the other day.

The torium is $99.00 on sale at academy. I was thinking of getting one and using offshore when I get a chance, and throw it out with the big bait in hope of hooking up a large cat the rest of the time.
