After a huge ordeal trying to catch bait and get our hands on a kayak we finally hit the entrance to P.I.N.S wensday midafternoon. Was lucky enough to hit it at low tide so i made it the xx miles we wanted in about an hour. The surf was perfect so we yakked the 12/0 out about 600 yards and the 3 9/0's about 250-300. The 12/0 with a 5lb cownose wing got picked up at about 12:30 wensday night and i botched the hookset and snapped the line. So thursday we yakked everything out again and it was a farily uneventul day until 6:30pm when my 12/0 started screaming again. My buddy beet me to the rod and managed to set the hook well i got the harness on. As soon as he handed it to me it felt like i was reeling in a school bus and we immedietly knew this was going to be a huge fish

My newest reel. 1200 yards 100lb braid and 450 of 80lb tritanium

after an intense 53 minute fight finally got a tail rope on it the shark was so heavy it took the 4 of us to move it

Me and the monster bull shark

The hooksetter, The photographer, and the tailroper

We botched the measurements and it really was between 108 and 112 inches

The shark had a HUGE mouth
the rest of the trip was nothing but snapped lines and missed hookups. Wish we could have caught more then this one shark but everyone agrees it made it all worth it.

You tag it and release it cheers

Contact the Apex Predator Investigation and get your free tagging kit.

http://na.nefsc.noaa.gov/sharks/

When you catch a shark, tag it and release it. Then when another lucky fisherman catches the shark and reports it, you will be notified with the date and location of the catch.

Cheers,

tp

How on earth are you snapping lines? Your drag must be set to tight or your lines must be in really bad shape.

Tritanium is good line too.

Wooo!

PINS is tough on line...fish there long enough and you will understand. The wade guts are deep and the sand bars are very abrasive. When you combine those factors with sharks, you are going to get cut off.

Cheers,

tp

Tritanium is good line too.

On the one side of our pole spread there was something in the surf that the lines kept rubbing on and that the sharks would rap themselves around... it made us very very mad
