I have discovered bass eat everything i have caught bass on a bare hook, chicken liver, live worms, live frogs, live minnows, 9 kinds of different lures, jigs, roadrunners, crappie nibble art. baits, just about everything, but i have caught more bass using a 4" white salty fluke than anything else, some ppl say they have never had luck using a fluke, but that is just about the only thing ill throw if i ever go anymore, and i have never been skunked on it, ever. 2 yrs ago, i bass fished at least 3 times a week for about 7-8 months and could always land a fish with the fluke
I thank God for each day!

Wow Moose , I don't know what I'd do if a 10 lb bass hit on my son's crappie jigs, we'd both probably do flips and cartwheels! I'm going to start looking at these things as bass lures, and my son certainly wouldn't mind picking up a crappie now and again, just to keep things lively. Doug C

I have been catching bass the last month on sliders. The bass really like the junebug slider.I'm fishing from the bank for crappie and the bass are around. I have caught bass up to 4 1/2 lb on the sliders. Really been catching more bass than crappie. Most are small bass but bigger ones show up. If I see a bigger bass feeding on the bait fish I will throw the slider in that area and let it settle to the bottom and give it lite twitch and they will nail it. I would rather be catching more crappie.

Bass will hit a crappie jig not in just ponds or creeks but lakes also, they are usally much smaller but sometimes you can catch a big one. On some lakes crappie jig is good for catching many types of fish, like sandies, bream, LMB, crappie. I did best with white grub on lead head.

Many of the larger bass in big waters are caught by crappie fisherman; mostly using small minnows (2"), but also using jigs.
Bass are opportunistic feeders and will hit any size of lure if it is presented well to it.
