Saw some chatting about this pond, and wanted to see if this was still a good place to go. Interested in any kind of catfish, bass, croppie, etc... Been on Hiatus from fishing for several years now and am just easing back into it. If this is still a good place to go what is the best time to hit it now that it's 100 everyday. Also, what bait seems to work the best. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

B Foster.

Might try a texas rig, and from what i hear try to get close to the fountain as you can. the two little ponds across the street have been known to hold a few dinks also.

Your on the right track for that pond (and many others)sunup and sundown.Good assortment of fish in there from what I've seen.TPW occassionaly stocks it with catfish and bass go from tiny to 3-4lbs.I've seen guys fishing in a bass buster in spring time for crappie w/minnows,so I know they are in there as well. You can probably tell that pond gets alot of pressure from kids and the regulars, most are catch and release,I belive.
With the 3 fish you caught you could probably give us a few tips! grinSo I think your doing okay for yourself. flehan

My Dad caught a really nice channel cat there last night, at least 8 lbs., maybe close to 10.

It came on a bread ball. He also caught a bunch of eatin size bullhead.

One odd thing about this pond is it seems to be one of the few, if not the only, sizable pond around that I haven't seen any carp in. Weird. Anyone ever seen any out there?

I have been at the pond fishing quite a bit since late June and have been over there to feed the ducks with my daugther for the past year and have never seen any carp.

Lots of bass and channel cats (caught a 5 lb 3 oz one last night on kroger's finest smoked sausage.)
