I have heard alot about these boats and at the classic in the expo they had them on display and was pretty cool I went buy shipp's marine today and they have one there and talked to them awhile. They are taking people out on lake Gladewater for test rides and so forth. they said they would take anyone out this evening and then tomorrow till noon or so. This boat is pretty darn cool. Thought it was cool to be able to see them in person and how they ren and thought I would share the info for those interested.

I had the opportunity to drive Ray Brazier's (factory rep) boat with a Honda, while helping prefish for the BASS on Toledo. (If you guys remember it was pretty rough weather during those weeks.) Drove great, handled the rough water and it would run 72 (Not in the rough water, silly!). I can just imagine what it would do with a ProXS! In fact I talked to him today about them (Phoenix Boats) and he said the company was doing really well and was stable and secure. Since they are a smaller company they don't have as much overhead and can provide a good product at a reasonable price. I'm hoping they will get a dealer in my area soon.
Love that removable passenger console.

Went ahead and went for a few rides today. this will be my next boat. one boat you have to ride in to understand. Takeing a few folks out there tomorrow to take a ride in it. 73 mph and it is a 21 foot boat with a 225 not the 250. worth taking a look at and a ride in.

These boats are SWEEEEET. Is Shipp's Marine in Gladewater going to starting carrying them?

looks pretty interesting, one thing I would be weary of is the resale value.

How hard will it be to get out of this boat in a year or 2 when your ready for a new boat vs a Skeeter/Ranger/Triton?

Ranger, Stratos, Champion -Bankrupt (will they honor their old warranties?)
Triton-Almost Bankrupt(time will tell)
Skeeter & BassCat -Still stable and hanging in there, if you like the boat.

thanks for the input Ron, but those bankrupt boats still hold a better resale value.

Case in point. Friend of mine on this forum and he's posted in this thread had his boat for sale at a STEAL of a price. It is a Stratos. Had the same exact boat had a Skeeter logo instead of a Stratos, he'd have sold the thing in a few days, TOPS. He's finally got a buyer, but its taken over a year of listing it on and off.

I am in a ranger now. Great boat. I dont think to restructure ever has meant going out of business from what I have seen with other companies. But from what I have read and heard that the phoenix brand has the backing and the product. After the ride in the boat and what all these boats have to offer I rally plan on this being my next boat. It would surprise me if Ranger went out of business. I think we are fine on them being around for many years to come and warranties on all these brands should be fine.

My topic was not really to put any brand down or bring up who is not selling many boats or who is going through a slow time. Just the fact that we now have a dealer in our area since there is not a whole lot of them. and that we could go and test drive one and look one over. They say they were designed around the fisherman and designed by fisherman and you can see that as soon as you look at the boat. and then to drive one and see how they handle the rough water and the speed and hole shot and so forth was real impressive. It sold me on it. The only bad thing I really found is that I do not have one in my garage yet.

Phoenix is a great company. I have a 2008 Bee Line 2100 and love it. I am would like to drive one of the Phoenix 721's. I have heard nothing bad about the 721. The 721 will most likely be my next boat. The removable 2nd console is also very nice...in and out in less than 20 seconds.
