Just moved a mile from benbrook lake. Any advise on Bass or hybrid on this lake would be much appreciated. Also, anyone bowfish this lake? Alligator gar there? Thanks for the advise.

No gar in it as far as I know.

No gar. The E side of the main lake has coves with rocky shorelines and timber mixed in that offers decent LMB fishing once you learn a few spots. Work the dam and the main lake points as well - - a couple of the points extend out quite a ways from shore and have submerged timber. Unfortunately, no grass to speak of. The W shoreline is generally shallower, but has a few decent LMB spots as well. For hybrids, learn the creek channels, ridges and humps - - just be observant of boats fishing out from shore and couple that with some looks at maps and charts and you'll pick up spots pretty quickly - - it's not a very big lake. White bass and pesky yellow bass too. All that said, take your patience with you - - Benbrook can be a very humbling lake at times. Good luck!

Yes, to a new comer. Do not get discouraged the first few time out. Its a small lake but also pretty difficult to fish.

It is a humbling lake, but I keep going back for more. If you want to learn the lake and some tactics I'd say book a trip with Kerry "Benbrook Guide".

Judging by your username, you may be my kind of peeps! grin

You got a boat? What is it and I'll keep an eye out for ya'. Welcome to the 'hood.
