Is anybody having any luck on Waco? We have been out several times over the past few weeks and haven't got anything to show for it. I have fished all over the place and thrown everything at them and still nothing. Any suggestions?

I fished the dam with cranks, spinners, and plastics
Reynolds - spipnners, rattlers, and plastics
Airport Park Cove - cranks, spinners, and plastics

I have finally convinced my wife of how fun it is to fish...now I am getting hammered by her because we aren't catching jack. Someone throw me a life line here!!!!!

I fish Lake Waco alll the time when I am in school. The fish in my picture below was caught in flatrock. If it is not spawn bass are very difficult to catch. Try flatrock. You have to get way back in the sticks. Also in the middle of the day flip and pitch soft plastics into the docks at the marina. The fish wanna get out of the sun. Besides that just go to another lake. I get stumped a lot.

its hard to explain lake waco, there are a ton of bass in there, its one of the most inconsistant lakes you will ever fish, you cant go wrong with a spinnerbait, waco is one of those lakes where u need to pick one lure and fish it all day.

Lake WACO is the hardest lake to pattern that Ive ever fished.Where the fish are and what thay want changes every day it seems to me.But if you hit it right 20 to 30 pound stringers happen.Just keep going and you will find em.

slipperyminnow, that name sounds familiar. When i was at school up there my roomate and myself had our bday party at that place. I fished waco alot a few years ago and had pretty good luck on the north side of teh lake throwing a red crankbait around the mouth of the river.

See if this helps, went out there with my dad last week just for fun.

Stayed on the main lake and hit the mouths of any pockets, coves, no major creeks, just little areas off the main lake. we caught some decent fish, nothing big, but it was a solid pattern. spinnerbaits, crankbaits and flipping real obvious trees.

Look for small isolated areas, something different instead of just fishing the forests, find the little spots that stick out and don't have much else around them.

They were very agressive and hitting lures way out from the cover, in fact, my dad is not a fishermen, he fired off a spinnerbait and got it stuck in a tree, no kidding 3 feet above the water, as soon as it hit, a 3 pound bass launched out of the water and tried to eat it and almost got it! In that same area we had a good buzzbait blow up and caught 2 other good fish on spinnerbaits.. This was at 10am and in a 20 yard stretch of bank.

keep looking, you'll find 'em.
