Went out today with my brother while he was in town.....he caught the only fish of the morning! and it was a nice one! It was a little windy, but good times with him and my oldest boy!

Nice slab! Does anyone know if they've moved up since the crappie tournament a few weeks ago. I didn't fish it, but around the same time I caught a few deep (13'-15') and heard others were doing the same. The weather is nice today and I think I'm going to try this afternoon.

I'm going to be out this afternoon as well. I'm going to try to hit some of the flooded trees to see if any are shallow. If not I'll hit some bushpiles that I know of and see what I can find.

We caught 6 keepers and a handful of short fish in a deeper brush pile. After that we hit a few other spots but never had more than a couple of short fish the rest of the evening. We never got around to fishing shallow. It was a great evening to be on the water.

Caught some crappie in the shallows around the timber but they were nothing to brag about. Lots of smaller fish but the action kept in fun.
