Some buddies and I are going to do some camping/fishing/beer drinking in a couple of weeks and we are not sure where to go. They live in Lubbock and I am in Waco and we would like to meet in the middle.

We are going to tent camp and will be bringing the boats with us (we like to bass fish).

Any suggestions?

Hubbard Creek at Breckenridge would be a good choice and close to the middle for both parties.

Are there good places to camp there? How is the fishing?

I would second Hubbard Creek

but the best choice might be Lake Brownwood. They have a state park that you can camp at and the fishing is excellent. There are some cabins near Lake Haven Marina you can rent.

My choice as well. Good Camping at the State Park.

Possum Kingdom not a bad choice or Palo Pinto.
