Had a club tourn. there 2 weeks ago . Almost all the fish caught were on main lake points on the south end on red cranckbaits . One guy did put 4 in the boat on shad colored carnks & rat-l-traps across the dam cove ( around boat docks ). Hope this helps .

I fished a tournament at Leon on Feb 25. I weighed in a 3.99 lb bass caught on a homemade football jig, black and blue with a mini pork trailer. broke it off on another one 2 cast later. I caught another keeper on a homemade white spinnerbait, and had another just under 14" on a baby brush hog. pepper green color. I caught all of my fish, and saw a few other larger fish caught in the cove near the chock-a-block boat ramp. its the cove full of docks. not sure what the name is...... hope this helps!!

Fished there the same day as the Big Spring tournament. I caught 9 keepers and 3 small fish. No real size - 2 pounds each. All mine came off deep cranks in white and green or bubblegum (hot pink for those broke back mountian fans). Every bite was real slow and just off rocks in about 5 feet, everyone was fishing the rocks near the dam. My biggest came off the dam. Did not try plastics but talked with a guy that just boated a 6 pounder off plastic, his only fish at the time I beleive. Good luck.
