Does anyone have an idea where I can fish in or around Waxahachie? Is the lake worth fishing? I know TPW stocks but hasn't in a while.

Any help to keep me from sitting at the kids table this year would be appreciated.

Bardwell is OK, Waxahachie is hit and miss, Blue Hole (Home Depot) is shut down, Clark Lake (Ennis) is iffy.

Also depends on what you are fishing for.

Thank you. I'll just be in waders plinking around for whatever bites. Gills would be ok. Maybe take a nephew.

I would hit the little lake in Bluebonnet Park, off of 287 and 287 Bypass. It small and can be walked around in less than an hour, there's no trees or other things to grab your line when loading and casting, and I have had success all times of the year with my flyrod there. What I would actually recommend, time permitting, is driving half an hour to either Duncanville's Lakeside Park or Mansfield's Rose Park, both of which have recently been stocked with trout. I hit Rose Park last week and had my limit in just over an hour and a half.
