Texas North East Division 2nd and last tournament for 2008 Legacy SERIES Adult/Junior tournament - June 14 on Lake O’ The Pines out of the Alley creek Ramp.
The Friday night pre-tournament meeting was hosted by H&W Marine in Marshall Texas.
Domino’s supply the pizza for the meal, you can’t go wrong with pizza for the young anglers.
Friday our official practice day the weather was very nice, the forecast for Saturday was for partly cloudy sky with 30% of rain and the wind out of the S 5-10 mph. We let the teams out at 5:30, about 8am we got that 30% chance of rain in a big way. We got a heavy downpour with lighting and win out of the NE 20 to 30 mph, it lasted about 1 hours, and then we had light rain on and off the rest of the day.
First place went to the team of Jimmy kinsey and Jackson Rodgers, they brought 5 fish to the scale that weight 14.76 pounds, they also had the big fish, a nice 4.65 lbs to anchor there limit. They took home $265.00 for a wet and windy day of fishing.
Second place also had a 5 fish limit, this team of Chris Bergt and Nicholas Bergt, they also had 5 fish weight 11.78 lbs and had the 2nd big fish of the day, 3.31 lbs. They got $ 10.00 for 2nd big fish.
Third place went to the team of John Lumpkin and John W. Lumpkin with a nice limit of 5 fish, 10.29 lbs.
Forth place went to one of our new teams this year, the team of Lee Hopkins and James Hopkins, they had 1 nice fish that weight in at 2.33 lbs.
Fifth place went to of other new team on Kevin Brown and Lake Brown form Jefferson Texas.

We are planning on kicking off our 2009 Legacy SERIES this year in Aug. 2008 and or 2nd tournament in Sept. Hopping to miss the Ball games. We also plan on having a 3rd tournament in March 0f 2009.
