 Texhoma Tournament ?????

Today I drove my family up to Gander Mountain to see the weigh in of the Ultimate Crappie tournament. When I got there no one was there so I went in side to ask about the tournament and the Gander folks said it was cancelled. Can someone fill me in on what happened to the tournament? I wanted to see a live weigh in of Texas top crappie anglers and my sons were very upset there was no weigh in plus I wasted gas going up there. How can a tournament be cancelled after being promoted for almost a year. That how long I have seen it on the TFF sticky notes. Please fill me in on what happened please!!!!

I was at a Family Reunion yesterday up on the Red River and my brother was telling me. It was on the Local News. Something to do with Insurance that the major sponsors pulled out.
