Ill be fishing next week with no sonar on Toledo Bend. All the reports say the fish are 18 to 25 feet deep. I guess to find this depth Ill use an anchor and mark off 18 to 25 feet with electrical tape and feel the bottomw with carolina rigs. But if youve got any other advice I could sure use it! Thanks Danny

Topo map to get you close to good areas and then carolina rig everywhere looking for any cover and structure. Deep diving crankbait will work, too. Takes forever but will produce spots for you over time.

Fish mainlake timber at the mouths of major tributaries with a deep diving crankbait like a DD22 or something similar. You will have suspended fish in the timber and depth to the bottom is not always as important. You will have to make a ton of casts and thats alot of work, but if you get lucky enough to get bit a few times you could be toting a huge sack. Also fish the pendleton bridge on each end with the same crankbait and a carolina or texas rigged worm around the bridge apron and the first few pillars on each end of the bridge there are always keepers around there. Good luck.

What happened to your electronics? It's hard to do, I'd look for main lake points and c-rig them real good.

Find a point on the main lake, and throw a carolina rig. Start shallow and start working the point out deeper.
