My Dad and I are going to be heading down to Aransas Pass/Rockport area this weekend for some fathers day fishing. I own a Bay boat but have only made it down to the coast a handful of times and everytime something goes wrong (big storm, stingray fiesta, no fish, etc.). Before I owned a boat I used to head down to Port A at least once a month and didn't do to bad in the surf. It just seems like their are so many options on the bay and I always choose the wrong one.

Just in case anyone is wondering if I am that guy who buys a boat and can't get it off the trailer I can assure you that I am not that bad. I have been fishing my whole life. I just havent been fishing on the bay. I have decent tackle and am familiar with bass fishing techniques. Please help me make this trip a "catching" trip and not just another "fishing" trip. Thanks.

try fishing quarantine shoreline and traylor island early...caught some pretty good specks there and it seems that quarantine always holds fish

pray for your local LAW ENFORCEMENT
