Just be happy that most of us hybrid fisherman don't fish for crappie full time.  there would be a lot fewer crappie for you. MO

Opinions Opinions........good thing none of us have anything to do with what gets stocked into Texas Lakes. Personally i'm glad to see Hybrids being re-stocked into Tawakoni. They may not be as exciting to fish for as bass, but they do fight alot harder!

 Parks & Wildlife stocked 190,000 hybrid fry into Lake Tawakoni Thursday SWEET! That looks like the ramp at the west end of the 2-mile bridge!

5 yrs ago i could remember catching them at the dam when they were trying to spawn, now i have not been around much since then, but my dad sais that he has not caught them at the dam like that since then........
when was the last time they stocked twok

They actually released the fish near the bridge in open water, they Parks & Wildlife guy was just posing for the photo- he said the survival rate was higher when they were released in open water- the fish came from the hatchery near wichita falls

2007 was the last time Tawakoni was stocked. 172,704 Fingerling, Before that was 07, 06, 05, 04, 02..... Same for Stripers.

I hope at least half of the stripers would survive. I miss catching stripers at tawakoni Thats what they say is half make it. I glad to see more stripers!! I like them 13lb+ fish. Catch and release is what will get it back to having more bigger fish like back in the day. My biggest is 17lb.
