I know there is a consumption ban on the lake, but just curious how many folks fish there for fun? Can you run a boat north of the toll bridge?

I was thinking about catching shad out of the lake...i've heard there are some really good, large gizzard shad.

This lady at work tells me her brother catches "bondo crappies" out there all the time and they "fries 'em up."

There's all kinds of fish in there, salsa, but I'd definitely not recommend puttin' any of them near the oil...

That being said, I've fished there a ton of times, and there are good populations of white bass, largemouth, crappie, and catfish there. Just watch out for alot of the shallower water there when runnin' the boat, and you should have a good day out there.
