Has anyone tried the brazos river yet for cats . Looks like it might be down a little bit . Just wondering if anyone has tried any throw lines or trotlines , or do you thing the gar going to rip off all the bait .

Man it's just too dang hot for me this time of year! I crossed the river on Highway 60 outside CS a moment ago. I guess the wind is helping to keep the river muddy so it might not be too bad. It's back way down now and I don't like that. If we got a little shower you'd probably do good at least at night. My buddies fished around the moth of little river last weekend and killed them! Got one around the 79 bridge area that went 60. They got mostly yellas and a bunch. Had several in the 18-20 lb range. They wanted me to go but I went out of town. Good luck and keep me posted if you go.

The only good thing about the river being down is that i fish just up from Marlin . I know of a couple good holes that has always produced some big yellas . I dont know what it is about the river but i love to fish it . Been going to the same place for 33 years . Yep mom and dad carried me and my brother with them when they went,,,,, ahhhhhh the good times .
