The fishing at Cedar Creek could not get any better!

We found some fish just about everywhere we stpped both days.

5/31 am trip I took out new customers Brian and Mike, started off at Pitt's and nothing went to Merrimac and Nada and then went across the lake to the other side and bingo! I showed up at about the same time Chuck Rollins did and it was on. We caught some good fish for over an hour. When that slowed I went to the Rock Pile and the Iron Wall and caught a few more fish each spot. I then went to the 3 White Jugs area and we just about finished our limit there. Lots and lots of small fiah with tons of small Hybrids in the mix.

5/31 pm trip was a free trip I gave away to the Texas Hunter Education Instructors banquet. Claude and Jean had a blast and it was neat to see an older couple so sweet on each other after 28 years together. I took us first to Long Ridge where we caught a bunch of good Sandies and more small Hybrids. When the fishing slowed there we went back to the Red Light Point and canught fish after fish, filling up there limit as well.

6/1 am trip was my good friend and customer Joe Maikell and his son Ben. I got a great tip from Chuck Rollins the day before and we found schooling fish early and these were CC Magnums! During the schooling we caught over 35 fish in an hour and kept 21 really nice fish over 14". When that slowed I headed back up the lake and found more fish on Red Light point and in the 3 White Jugs area. I fihnished us off at the middle of the Long Ridge. Joe and Ben though weren't going for samller fish though andwe threw back a lot of 11" fish. they wound up with 46 they kept over 12" and 2 Blue cats.

6/31 pm trip was just me and my sweetie, Valerie. I took my time and went back to the middle of the Long Ridge and they were stacked up in the middle of the Long Rigde. it seemed to slow pretty quick so i chedcked the east end and the graph just went as John Varner says "colored out"! We caught fish for 3 solid hours, one right after the other. We got our limit of big Sandies (dinner tonight) and lots of small Hybrids with one I caught at 21.5" and 2 more Blue Cats. It was so fun but we had to come back to reality - dang!

All fish (400+) were caught on 5 lures:

Lead Babies Slabs (1oz PeeWees in any color)
TNT 180's (killed em in Gold!)
Jig-um Jigs Tag-A-Longs (any color = 38 doubles)
Alluring Lures 3.5" Shad Bodies (schooling fish)
Bass Pro Shops, Squirmin' Sardines in Chartreuse/Glow (schooling bigger fish)

It was a great weekend and my trolling motor got a big workout. Watch those small Hybrids.

Good seeing ya Omar. Your right, CC doesnt get much better for magnum sandies than it is right now. Catching 100 fish in a day might be considered a slow day this time of year. See ya on the lake next time.

I had a guy ask me today if we really caught over 100 yesterday, I said look, I cleaned 40 good whites, threw back 20 or so small whites and at least 40 small Hybrids and a half dozen yellows, so that adds to over 100. I have a party of 4 on tap for Thursday and they aint keeping a fish, so I will use my clicker to count each fish and see what it ends up at.

Have not been out in about a month at night, usaully it slows down as it gets hotter. Did see a report on here that said they did well. Who knows? I do know this, if this wind don't lay will be forced to reschedule some trips soon.
