I am going to Lake Fork for the first time ... I will be staying on the west of the lake near 515 bridge and 17. I would appreicate advice on tatics and location ... I am very much a beginner. Thank you.

I had my first fishing trip on Fork a few weeks back... from what I understand, our mistake was that we didn't go far enough north.....

Read some of the guide reports, this should point you in the right direction.

Birch Creek. Watch the stumps. That is all you need to know for your first trip!!!!!!

Go to Mustang Creek, under the bridge, then 2/3 way back. Throw Carolina rigged baby ring fry, watermelon/red. Hit the north bank early, then trees along creek bed with a Carolina rigged baby Fork creature(june bug) mid-day. My son and I killed em back there last weekend.
