I noticed in Academy today that they sell a kit that will recess the foot control for a trolling motor. Obviously, there would be some cutting of the fiberglass needed. Is this a bad idea for 2001 Skeeter XZ190?
Thanks

I have one on my Champion. I wish it had been there all along. I never plan to be without one again.
BTW: Most brands come in MK and MG sizes so be sure to get the one that fits.

Be sure and measure well and be sure it will fit. Also check support under deck that may be cut to install it. I have a '98 Triton TR-18 and wouldn't fit in mine.

good advice! I put one in my 93 Ranger last year and won't be without one again. You can always make the hole bigger but never smaller...

ya. I did mine. Really no big deal.
If your like me your scared to start cutting. Lay the templet down. get it where you want it and sqare it up. make sure your measurments are right and which lines you cutting.
Thanks,

01 ZX250, scared at first, but will never be without it again.
Measured four times, cut once.

I put one in my 99 Champion 203 Elite two weeks ago and love it. The only thing I ran into was their was a pvc tube with wires in it that I cut into, it ran real close to the deck I don't know how you could know this befor you cut. Needless to say I had to splice wires.
