Oh I use kiptail.
Here's a better look

I'm know up here for making smaller stuff.
I like the finesse presentation.I do a bunch of ice fishing and the early spring time when the water is 55 degrees or cooler they work well.
Gills like them too.

I do some guiding as well.
With 365 lakes in our county I can usually find something with gills biting.

We do bass...

Walleyes...

hunt ducks

Ours may run a little larger, but I'll bet those cold water fish taste a little better and the meat is a little firmer. tu:

Man, nice looking fish with great color and that northern, yellowish tinge. Nice fish!

I almost got a job in Minneapolis with the weather service some months back. Wish I would've got it!

Your right they are firm and very tasty coming out of that cold water.

I moved down here 3 mos ago from Cleveland,OH, and I too miss the ice for walleyes and yellow perch, coho's, steelhead,etc.
