We went down there over spring break and stayed at Sunset Harbor Resort(I'm pretty sure that's the name of it). It was all we needed and was pretty nice. There is a marina right by the hotel and you can recieve a pass from the hotel to launch there for free. The little cove/creek that the marina is located in is not to shabby for bass fishing, at least when we were there. The area around the lake has plenty of places to go shopping and eat out, and it is only 15-25 minutes from the Woodlands. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
