Well this is not a report that I like to post matter of fact I really dont want to post it but to show that not every trip we wack em here it goes....
After weeks of tearing them up and fishing the morning with great results....I took out a member of the TFF ...his first time to fish with me....been hearing the good reports and want in on the action....we headed out from the anglers club a little after 4pm. We saw the birds working right in front of the club ...BUT...I said "I dont feel like chasing the birds I know where we can go and catch alot of fish"....never will I say that again....fished for almost 5 hrs and caught 4 fish....went back to the club and got a report that the fish schooled all evening right in front of the club..... .. .... .....Sorry Dalejrfan8...wish I had fished those fish....I did give him a free trip and he was one of the best clients to have on one of those days...completly understood fishing...I on the otherhand have not learned how to take that...I know there are going to be days like that just hope not many.....we laughed when one of them said " a bad day fishing beats a good day at work" I said not in my case! A bad day fishing is a bad day at work...
hope this is my last one for a while... I cant take too many more sleepless nights second guessing myself....

on the brighter side...
Fished Sat. morning in the club tourney and did pretty good....
My little 7 ry old Maddi took 1st in the jr. divsion ..beating all the boys!
My wife took 2nd in the adult divsion and I took 3rd....
had to put some thing good in this report...

Well im sorry you had a bad day , but one thing positive about your report is it makes me feel better that even guides have bad days. Thats encouragement for me. Of course thats selfish of me too but im willing to work through that . Congratulations on the tourney for your family.

I really stunk it up on Benbrook Friday evening...same time you were fishing...
My wife said she was not amused and expected more out of me to put her on fish-- now that is pressure!!!

I know it wasn't a lack of trying that is for sure, I was there.

I told you to listen to Mattie and she will put ypu on fish cause she knows how to play sandbass boogie.

I've had the same experience.

Other day we had hords of Shad in Oak Cove Marina right against the retaining walls that morning waiting on the cutomers. My cutomers showed a little late (and gald they did). Those hords of shad headed out front of Oak Cove about the time we were leaving the dock and the Sand Bass / Hybrids were on them. Almost casting distance from the loading dock.

Put down the trolloing motor from the dock and started catching. Told my cutomer, never done this (cause never seen them do that before, right there). Caught about 40 before we really ever left the Oak Cove.

Glad we did becuase it was kind of tough after that.

No need to apologize about the fishing. I understand how fishing is. It wasn't the fact that we didn't try but thats fishing for ya. Guys if you ever fish with Bro Terry I hope you catch fish cause I've never seen someone so down on themself for not catching fish. He was really upset. We'll be going out again soon with diferent results
