Seems like I've been catching mainly smaller longear along the banks of the lake lately. However the bluegill were really biting well this morning in a pond close to the lake... biting off of cocktail shrimp. I must have caught 30 "keepers" in about an hour, including one that was probably a 1/2 pound. I threw them all back.

I am not going to post the location since there were already a couple other people fishing the pond, but I suspect all the ponds around here are pretty much turned on right now.
