I really never hear anyone fishing the way northwest part of the lake like Shotgun Crossing and beyond. It's a real pain navigating back there. Is that the reason or is it because its further away from most ramps or is it just the least productive section of the lake? Feedback please.

Thanks

Jersey Dan

I'm really serious. No one ever talks about that area. It's always Birch,Glade,Mustang's,Caney, etc...

I know where you talk about and try to hit the area every trip out there. It holds just as good of bass as rest of the lake. people just dont want to venture up that far.

All the areas mentioned are good. There might be a reason nobody talks about it.... Just be careful during duck season up there.

Lots of great areas to fish back there all the way to hwy 19 and beyond if you can get back there. I do alot of fishing in Lake Fork Creek right before you get to the bridge. Love to topwater the area right before the grass starts and lots of big fish in the grass as well.

I wonder how the spawn is on that piece of the lake. To me it seems like most people think the lake stops at the left of Birch.

Had some of my best days in Shotgun pass...tore the HELL out of a champion idling back there in June though. Lost my marker trees, but I found fish in other areas.

Not a lot of traffic up there the past 2 years when I have been up there. The water was so low for a year. I mean, you take 5 feet of water out of there and what do you have?
During the spring this year and last it has been a mudhole up there. Wasn't much different yesterday.
Forgot to add, the water was hitting 80 up there just off the boat lanes.
