Going to Lake Waxahachie in the new fews weeks. Unfortunately I don't have a boat. Any suggestions? I know nothing about the lake!

How many weeks from now? If it's close to June, or in June the sandies will be schooling and moving all across the lake on the surface. Early morning will find em close to the bank and catchable. Black bass, with minnows on a bobber from the bank, most anywhere can be caught most any time. Catfish, with prepared bait or chicken liver can be caught just about anywhere from the bank. bluegills on live worms under a bobber are best caught(big ones) anywhere along the south shoreline, that has hard bottom flats and not too deep.
Hope this helps.

I'll be going in two weeks. The reason I'm wondering is that I'll be taking a group from church and was hoping somebody had some hometown tips since I've never been or seen this lake. The minnows sound like the way to go! Thanks for the reply!
