Was at Texoma yesterday. As I was heading back to the marina I encountered some birds working with fish underneath. A bunch of boats were trying to play catch up behind. I saw which way I thought they were moving and positioned the boat, cut the motor, set the dead stick and got up on the bow with a wildeye. The birds worked through me and it was fun even if they were dinks. A fish on every cast no matter the size gets the adrenalin pumping. Now the boats playing catch up are around me. Let them pass and I'll see if there are any larger fish working behind the dinks.

I turn around to check the dead stick and it is bent over like it has the new lake record on it. I reach it just in time to see/hear the line pop off the spool. Aw, [censored] stupid me, should have been watching more. Grab the rod to put it up and there is the down rigger pulling my line off of his fouled line. What a freaking moron. People long lining don't bother me. If that is the only way they can catch fish by burning expensive gas every minute they are on the lake, more power to them. But not knowing where your line is and turning that close to catch a vertical line dropped off another boat, that is just unbelievable. Rude behavior can either be intentional or not knowing better. This guy must have a brain the size of two peas rolling around in a box car.
