I finally got my hands on some of Berkley's new swim bait. The dang things have been on backorder for 3 months! For $10 they give you pretty good setup: weighted hook (Key:weighted hook on the bottom; opposed to the front), 3 hollow body plastics and swivel. Now they real question is has anyone had any luck or tried them out?

Haven't seen them yet but I haven't had as much luck on them as other lures. I won't give up.

i hope you ordered lots of them becasue they catch fish! only down side is that they tear up prtty easily. but they have great action and are easier to cast than the money minnows and other heavier swim baits

In my opinion for a knock off they are a bit over priced. I know you could argue the fact it comes with some terminal tackle but I think the hook is to small for that bait. I wont be using them until they come off the price or sell them 4 to a pack without a hook. There are way to many other out there that are just as good or better.....basstrix, money minnows, poor boys, bass magic...just to name a few.

Hmm, Academy here has had them for a month or so now.
Dont think I am going to spend 10 bucks on them though.

Like others, I will take the Bass Magic first until they get their price right. Hooks they include are not what I use, too small so their value is zero. $3/bait is too high when I can get the Bass Magic's and Fatheads for much less.

I like the money minnows better for some reason, to me the money minnows are easier to rig up and as said earlier the hook that comes with the Berkleys is now in the terminal box in case of emergency.
However the Berkleys do have good action.
Like FKr said Academy has had some for awhile now.
Regards

I will stick with the bass magics and shadalicious. I like to put the tails in boiling water for a few seconds then stretching hte tail. Makes that tail move a whole lot easier. Or should I say more seductive.

I like the bait but agree the hook isn't worth much, or at least as a swimbait hook it's not. I looked it up and it weighs 3/32nds. I'm planning on letting my wife use them on her horny toad setup for that little extra bit of casting distance.

Go to Cabelas; they have them for $6.99 right now. I like them better than my monney minnows; the whole body wiggles/sashays from side to side on the retrieve, and of course they smell like powerbait versus acetone. I stocked up on Sunday, but will probably head back and get more while they are on sale.

Water_Surg-that's a different way to get the action that you want! I'll have to try them the bass magic one that I bought a while back. The bass magic ones just don't swim right for me
