After reading Patrick's report I gathered my two daughters and head towards Grapevine to the location Patrick spoke of and we got into fish right way.

The fish were chasing shad along the shoreline and on the drop-offs. We caught 50-60 sand bass before we called it quits and kept a few for dinner.

Water was 69.8 and stained, I caught all of mine on a chart Kopyto and a chart hatchet slab. My girls picked theirs up on a gold Potlicker and a Johnson Sprite Spoon. Fish were caught in water from 2 feet to the lake bottom. No birds to be found...

Thanks Patrick.

Those are some happy girls. I bet dad was proud. I'm looking forward to that day.

XYZ,
That's what this forums all about. I first went to Twin
Coves reading reports from others about Black Bass there.
I don't speak sandy, but I figured you people would like
to know that they were actually chasing shad up on the
beach this morning!!
I'm glad I was able to pay back just a little of the huge
amount a help this forum has given me.

Yep, Patrick went all out... He needs to contact me next time he goes to Ray Bob, I know of a few places he can pick up some black bass.

I caught one Sunday that P220 said would go 7 pounds. I was going to fry it up but it got off at the boat... J.K.
