New to freshwater fishing so I could use some pointers. Just bought a place with a tank that seems to have a healthy bass pop. Trouble is, the majority of the surface is covered with lilies. What type of arties are recommended? I caught a few on tops but would mostly snag the lillies.
Thanks in advance!

Sinko's or flukes. Something you can pull over the lily's and let fall.

Thanks in advance! OK, first of all, we need to fix your word useage, as you are now talking to TEXAS folks (for the most part) Please refrain from using the following words, and instead, replace them with these suggestions: TANK- We dont have tanks, we have PONDS LILLIES- Refer to these as PADS, or their full name, LILLY PADS ARTIES- These are BAITS or LURES (Or you can skip to the advanced level and refer to them specifially as PLASTICS or HARD BAITS TOPS- Just go with the full name here, TOPWATER, or be specific, as in Buzzbait, Frog, Popper, etc............ I'm just givin ya a hard time man!! I'll 2nd Dillion's choice....Spro Bronzeye Frog

Trouble is, the majority of the surface is covered with lilies. Trouble??? Pads are great for holding bass. Be happy they are there, especially with summer approaching. Try a ribbit frog on the pads and you will be more appreciative that they are there! Welcome to the TFF! I see you have already experienced the sarcasm that makes the TFF so awesome. Good luck fishing.

1. Raised in Texas for 32 yrs. I refer to it is a tank, used sometimes for livestock, only 4acres 2. Lilly pads, sorry for using sissy lillies terminology 3. Arties, sorry about that. Us saltwater fisherman are slooooooww and therefore shorten verbage 4. See number 3
j/k
I appreciate all the info

im with westtx. we call them tanks not ponds. a pond is something you have in your back yard with gold fish.
