Had some customers tear em up Saturday fishing shallow windy muddy banks. Mostly caught blues 2 to 4 lbs and a few channels. It's been too windy to get a good report from the jug liners.

Ran trotlines with carp nuggets last weekend - only had 8 small eater blues after three runs. That is one of the worst trotlining weekends I've ever had. Going to try punchbait and shad up shallow on windy points this weekend. Good luck.

I caught 20 saturday morning on rod/reel before the wind blew me out of my hole. No big ones just perfect eaters. I was fishing with stink bait in about 30ft of water.

I just spent three years living in Buffalo and while I never did fish RC, I spent all my time on Limestone, everyone I ever talked too that did fish RC was always bragging about the bite.

I don't think there is an off season for catfish on RC.

i was at RC Saturday all day. slow day. only put about 18-20 blues in the boat. about 10 that were too small and about 6-8 that broke off in the trees.

I didnt know you fished RC yellowcat. Thats my favorite lake. But this year I havent been able to catch many blues. And the ones I do catch are small. Do you fish the 309 or the points or the creek arms?

and with gas so high, I cant afford to go there too often

I have never had bad luck at RC. We always catch a lot of fish and a lot of big fish. Except this year. They seem to be scattered.
we did catch a 20 lb and a 15 lb, but we usually 20-30 blues with
3 or 4 being from 15 to 30 lbs. biggest one was a 40 lb. but I think the weather this year has just been too crazy
